Well, I’m sort of back in the saddle. I really never left it, I just haven’t been posting here on the blog or sharing much on social these days.

I’ve spent the last few months working on some other things. I’ve been enjoying some other hobbies. I’ve been having fun with the family and that put fly fishing on the back burner for a little while. I’ve made a few trips to the local streams but winter was pretty brutal, so it made fishing rather difficult.

The few times that I did get out weren’t documented, and honestly, that was the best part. I’ve come to realize that fly fishing takes on a whole new dynamic when I’m not worried about getting shots for Instagram, or making sure I have something to blog about. I just wanted to get out there and do it, for me.

Now that spring is here, posts may ramp back up on the blog. This blog has been on life support several times over the years and I never could just pull the plug. I certainly should have, but something kept it going. Deep down I have never, nor will ever, lose that drive to keep fly fishing. That drive may not be reflected here on the blog, but it’s there.

Life happens. Careers happen. Things don’t always work out the way you want them to. I’m used to that now and I’m finding new ways to adapt to it.

As spring rolls in and I prepare to live life back outdoors again, the plan is to certainly jump back in the saddle and enjoy it. I don’t know how much of that will be shared here on the blog, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
